My friend spotted this lovely tree and suggested a shot of it. I hadn't noticed it since I was at the time preoccupied with the pain in my leg having just pulled a ligament in it climbing over a fence. Will have to go back and get another shot of it later in the year when it's in full plumage with leaves!
Took a little walk in Hyde Park today with a friend of mine and took a load of pictures. Lots of processing to do on those so in the meantime here's a little taste of what's to come. The bottom one is a lovely row of coloured houses down in Ladbroke Grove, the second is the last shot I did before we left and this first one is one of the first I took that evening. My thanks to him as I wasn't gonna leave the house this day but he rang and got me out of the house so my thanks.
I nipped down to the British Museum a half hour before closing last night to quickly take a few photographs of the African exibit they have down in the basement. I didn't capture nearly a quarter of the fabulous stuff they have there so I will have to go back very soon but I did get some lovely shots which I'll split up into a few posts to conserve on page loading times.
So I rang around a load of shops in central London looking for anywhere that had Nikon's new 35mm f1.8 DX lens in stock and finally got lucky with a place down on The Strand that had one left on their shelves, quickly reserved it and went down there and snapped a few shots on the way back to test it wide open. It's weird but the top one, the shop display, is actually my favourite of the lot, just love the Reds!
